Occasionally, I find a story that is out of character with this blog.
This is a story about two non-Jewish married couples that decided to convert to Judaism. The reaction from the community in Seattle to treat converts with more respect than our own children is amazing.
After the two couples converted, they proceeded to get married. It was their second wedding. This time it was a Jewish wedding. A wedding they will never forget.

Jewish Press Defends Unorthodox Sheldon Silver

This blog wished to visit Dov Hikind while he sat for his mother's passing, but that would give me away.
I still managed to find out through unconventional means that Anthony Weiner visited Dov Hikind to pay respects to Dov Hikind's mother.
There is no indication anywhere of Weiner's visit. Weiner must have told some people, but Weiner did not politicize his meeting with Hikind. Weiner has respect for the dead. For the living, Weiner has no respect. Weiner has Orthodox Jews telling lies to other Jews in the synagogue that Weiner opposes homosexual marriages just to collect signatures!

Unorthodox Jew Phillip Goldfeder Supports MURDER! (updated)
Robert Adler put out the abortion votes on his blog. Unorthodox Phillip Goldfeder voted to expand abortion practices, and to permit killing of babies for "economic" reasons.

However, Goldfeder cannot use his vote for murder to trash Cuomo, so Goldfeder uses a different issue to publicize Cuomo's political bullying tactics.

Dov Hikind Throws a Softball to Joseph Hayon (updated)
While Jacob Kornbluh calls out Dov Hikind for "doubting" Salgado's recent rabbinical endorsements, I will call out Joseph Hayon for not calling into the Dov Hikind show.
Listen carefully to the way Hikind approaches the whole matter. He ends off with "maybe someone will call in". Turns out no one called in. As the Jewish liaison to Salgado's campaign, Hayon should be listening to every Dov Hikind Show and other related shows.
Hayon did not respond to my e-mail, and I will update this post when he does.
With Thompson's recent UFT endorsement, and deBlassios support for regulated circumcision, it will be hard to tell if Hikind will support anyone in this mayoral election. Salgado would be Hikind's favorite, but Hikind has a policy not to endorse longshot candidates even if they will ultimately win in his district.
Hikind knows that the people in Boro Park puts morality first before chances of winning. History shows that the pro-morality candidate always wins Boro Park.

Baruch Dayan Haemes --Mrs. Frieda Hikind
On Monday, the mother of Dov Hikind passed away. Dov put a recording of his mother's testimony of the holocaust on his blog.
I found something very interesting. Mrs. Frieda Hikind and her family did not know they were going to die. She was lied to.
This ties in with Dov's previous attack against Christine Quinn. Dov knows not to trust her. Quinn is lying to the Jews like the Nazis lies to Hikind's mom.
Just listening to her speak makes me love her. She is so adorable, especially when she lets us know that she speaks English.

Following in the footsteps of the homosexual supporting Jewish Press, Vos Iz Neias decided to publish an article by Ezra Friedlander promoting homosexuality within our Jewish Community. Robert Adler does an excellent job with his rebuttal.
Interesting to note is that Yehuda Eckstein finally stopped lesbian supporter David Greenfield from controlling his news website. Ever since then, Yeshiva World News finally became a neutral source for news.
The most recent evidence is Yeshiva World's recent articles promoting Anthony Weiner, who Greenfield clearly opposes.
People are following my advice, but Friedlander is as bold as Amaleik.

The following letter appears on the RCA web site with the clear unambiguous statement to go to the police in cases of known or credible evidence of abuse. Of critical importance - it doesn't state that this is conditional on first consulting a rav. Statements such as this by a posek of Rav Belsky stature as well as the RCA are welcome and help clarify the haze that was created by the various conflicting statements of Agudas Israel and others on this matter.
The obvious question is, why in the recent Kolko case did Rav Belsky publicly state that going to the police was mesira while in this letter he states that one should go to the police - without mentioning consulting a rav first. Furthermore the victim's father only went to the police after going to beis din. And only after Kolko stopped the treatment required by the beis din and Rav Sternbuch poskened that he go to the police - only then did he do so. Despite this known chain of events - Rav Belsky still labeled the victim's father a moser! Why? Click link for other documents in Kolko case
The obvious answer is that despite Kolko confession in court - Rav Belsky knows that Kolko is innocent because of his own investigation into the matter. This is similar to the statement of Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein that only rabbis know whether a person is innocent or guilty - not the police and not psychologists. I would also conjecture that both Rav Belsky and Rav Zilberstein would agree with the recent pronouncements of Rabbi Handler that one should always consult gedolim since they have divine assistance in these matters - something which is obviously not available to the police or psychologists. (Of course it is important to note Rav Belsky's earlier letter not only says Kolko was innocent but that the father of the victim was the abuser - which if made by a lesser figure would clearly constitute a vicious slander since there is absolutely no evidence to support the accusation.) All this would seem to imply that - since Rav Belsky and Rav Zilberstein apparently view themselves infallible in their judgements - Yosef Kolko's confession constitutes kefira by implying that Rav Belsky made a mistake. Perhaps Rav Belsky was mochel because he felt that Yosef Kolko only confessed because he thought it would save himself from a longer prison sentence.
Thus we are faced with a disturbing question. If we are to rely on Rav Belsky's infallibility then why is he telling people to go to the police - without first going to a rav? If he is not infallible then we are faced with an incredible chilul hashem made by one of the greatest American poskim - who not only mistakenly declared a pedophile innocent but has greatly compounded the problem by slandering the father and causing him to be driven out of Lakewood. Rav Belsky apparently alludes to this confusion about his true position when he states in his letter, "though some of misunderstood my position". However I fail to see a rational resolution of the apparent contradictions in Rav Belsky's statements. Perhaps somebody can enlighten me in this matter. Hopefully the RCA will issue a clarification to prevent severe damage not only Rav Belsky's credibility but that of the RCA.

It was a very lively debate, with one heckler who interrupted Bill DeBlasio when he mentioned the word “LGBT” with shouts of “Shame” and other invectives. I have observed over the years candidates who speak to mostly Orthodox audiences avoid the topic altogether. Most Haredim [Ultra-Orthodox] are content with that standoff. After all virtually all politicians -especially those running for citywide office- have the same views on social issues.
The issue is how do we as Orthodox Jews find our place in a this big metropolis and have our rights and needs protected. Many zealots in our community have a view that the issue of “LGBT” should be not only be at the forefront of Haredi concerns; it must be the ‘only’ demand the Orthodox have! Concern for Yeshivos in general, for Special Needs Children, Security for Yeshivos and Institutions should be set aside. Hatzolah„ Shomrim, Ohel, Misaskim all should fend for themselves. Even Metzitza BePeh should be at most, of secondary concern.
Those who hold this opinion -and they are many- direct most of their anger at Haredi Jewish Organizations for not making this the one-and-only test in this and other elections of any politician seeking Orthodox support. So the Hecklers were out there mostly to embarrass the organizers; that failed and for her part Ms. Quinn took the cue and was not shy to mention “my wife” in response to the heckler. Obviously presuming she has nothing to lose with our community anyways.
I have a feeling that the great majority of Orthodox Jews, even if they deeply abhor the gay lifestyle, recognize that government support and tolerance of our religious practices sometimes depend on having an understanding with government. The demand “to-be-left-alone” regarding MBP ultimately rests with an appeal for fairness, that is solidly grounded in American law and polity. Those laws are based on the same principles that give the LGBT community their right to behave has they please.
I won’t provide a link to the words “they please”, but mohel’s practitioners of MBP can point to the NY City Dept of Health treatment of high risk behavior in Bars and Bathhouses from whom the Department never demands that any of their clients must sign any form, or from bath-keepers to keep form records on file for a year
So on the issue of MBP and the Orthodox struggle to prevent the city from regulating the procedure, Haredim might have to resort to an appeal to principles that are based on the same grounds that give rights to others with whom we strongly disagree.
Anthony Weiner hit this point during the debate when he passionately pointed out, that “I am a proud liberal, but I believe that regarding many issues including “metzitzah bepeh” there is a such a thing as ‘liberal elitism’ which i oppose” as he went on to explain principles of tolerance and religious liberty

Rules of the Political Blame Game
1. Always blame the appointed ones first. That would include judges, commissioners, community board members, etc. since the voters cannot do anything about them.
2. When an appointed person cannot be blamed, then blame the person with the strongest election results.
3. If neither of the above can be used, blame an opponent (Democrats blame Republicans and vice versa).
4. If all else fails, resign.
Try these rules on any circumstance. It really works!
Sex scandals tend to fall on rule #4, but the DA found a way to blame the judge (rule #1).
How voters should play the blame game:
1. Guilt by association
2. Blame for failure regardless of "effort". We don't care how hard you tried, we want the job done.

I would further add that the DA’s office has always insisted on jail time for all three defendants. The People strenuously objected to the pleas because the judge refused to impose prison time.

Unorthodox Satmar "Zollie" Responds to This Blog
Unorthodox Zalman Leib Titelebaum doesn't know what to do. His followers are reading the blogs and finding out that the Satmar leadership is supporting a lesbian for mayor of NYC.

Perpetual Voices and this blog have a lot in common. We both don't like Unorthodox David Greenfield, Moshe Friedman, Yehuda Eckstein's Yeshiva World News and pedophiles.

I differ in opinion when it comes to Jacob Kornbluh.
Perpetual Voices claimed that "David Greenfield has instructed his operative Jacob Kornbluh not to cover Chris Quinn’s hard line on metzitzah b’peh".
I e-mailed Jacob Kornbluh, pointing out that Kornbluh did not listen to Greenfield's instructions.

But what happens when the reporters are notified, and refuses to correct their errors? Recently, this happened to both Jacob Kornbluh and Failed Messiah.
Kornbluh wrote an article claiming that political prostitute Agudath Israel encouraged Chaim Israel to run for City Council against Unorthodox David Greenfield. The next article, Kornbluh clarified that it was Joseph Hayon encouraging Israel to run for office.
Failed Messiah did the complete opposite. Failed Messiah wrote that Anthony Wiener supports Metzitza B'beh, when Weiner never answered the question about Metzitza B'beh, and instead talked about how much he supports Bris Milah in general.
I commented on Failed Messiah letting him know his error, and instead of correcting the error, or communicating his position, Failed Messiah chose to delete the comment altogether.
Failed Messiah based his "facts" on a non-Jewish reporter who would never understand any Jewish talk when spoken as fast as Anthony Weiner.
When Weiner said Orthodox circumcision practice "about thousands of yrs of tradition", Weiner was talking about regular circumcision, NOT Metzitza B'peh.
Weiner took the same position as Bill Thompson.
Weiner is a disgrace, and should be running away from office.

Chaim Berlin Loses Campers for Supporting Homosexual Politicians!!!
I just received an e-mail telling me that his son's Yeshiva stopped encouraging boys to attend Chaim Berlin Day Camp this year because Unorthodox Mendel Schechter supported homosexual politician Lew Fidler during a special election.
My son's Yeshiva knew about this last year, but to keep the peace, they decided to wait a year rather than to send a letter of regret to the parents.

Parshas Korach -- FJCC Losing membership!
It's happening now in this week's parsha.
[Moshe] spoke to the congregation saying, "Please get away from the tents of these wicked men [Leon Goldenberg, etc.], and do not touch anything of theirs, lest you perish because of all their sins.
So they withdrew from around the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, and Dathan and Abiram went out standing upright at the entrance of their tents together with their wives, their children, and their infants.
I did notice names of people I personally know and respect on the member list of the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition. But then Jacob Kornbluh wrote an article on the Yeshiva World News notifying that Erick Salgado will not attend. Then I got this e-mail:

Korach Organization Uninvites Pro-Jew Mayoral Candidate! (Updated)
According to Jacob Kornbluh, the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition uninvited the only Pro-Jew mayoral candidate, Erick Salgado.
I sent an e-mail to Joseph Hayon, but he has not yet responded.
Salgado was endorsed by prominent rabbis from the Flatbush community. Josh Mehlman, the apparent puppet of homosexual supporter Leon Goldenberg, gave a pretext reason for Salgado not to come.
“Our community is best served if we take the candidates who’re most likely to win – the major candidates who have any shot on winning – and force them to confront the issues and address our concerns,” Mehlman said.
But Rabbi Avrohom Nelkenbaum of Mir Yeshiva said in a video that it makes no difference what Salgado's chances are of winning, the community has a religious obligation to assist Salgado.
What hypocrisy!
Even the Jewish Press, who has a history of promoting homosexuality, allowed Salgado to speak at their forum, and anyone watching that video would see that all Jewish issues were addressed except for homosexual marriages.

How did he Jewish media miss this one? Mayoral candidate marched at the Israeli Day Parade even though one Yeshiva chose to have an anti-gay symbol on its banner...
For those who don't know, homosexuality was rampant in Greece during the times of Chanuka. Eventually, the Greeks banned bris milah as well.

For the third month of blogging, it is a very nice number. This blog is spreading like fire. I am getting hits from social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. I don't even know how to use Facebook (at least not yet).
The most important achievement is getting number one or number two for the search words "Israeli Day Parade". With over 550 hits, Avi Goldstein's informative letter to the public regarding the Israeli Day Parade became the number one post of this blog!
My biggest day had 738 hits, and this occurred yesterday.

Pro-Jew Candidate Will Speak At the FJCC/ COJO Mayoral Forum (Updated)
This story gets more complicated as the days pass. Originally, the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition planned on excluding the only Pro-Jew candidate Erick Salgado from speaking at their mayoral forum.
Today, I received several e-mails with conflicting information. Two of them, anonymously, told me that Erick Salgado will not be speaking this Tuesday at 8pm with the other mayoral candidates.
Could you please write about COJO's refusal to allow Erick Salgado to speak at their mayoral forum?
Update: After this post, I received an e-mail attesting that Salgado was originally not invited to the mayoral forum.

It appears that the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition has not invited Erick Salgado to participate in their mayoral forum this Tuesday (based on tweets of Jacob Kornbluh), The only pro-orthodox values candidate not allowed to be heard in this frum community event is just wrong. Please publicize it.. Shmuel Lefkowitz, Chazkel Bennet, Yecheskel Pikus- the questions begs WHY was Salgado not invited?

Failed Messiah assumes that it is just because Quinn is a lesbian that Quinn's name should be blotted out. However, the language used explains that Quinn is no friend of the Jews and that she will persecute the Jews worse than the self-hating Jew Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The poster calls Quinn's "support" for Jews propaganda.
Let's do as the poster says. When you go vote for mayor in September, cross out Quinn's name before you vote for your candidate.
