Bobov 45: Yeshiva or Criminal Organization?

Time to throw the book for unpaid wages.  While Failed Messiah rightfully discusses the safety issues of the children, I prefer to get to the root of the problem.

Bobov 45 is not paying their teachers on time.  This would mean the teachers -- when they are not on strike -- are babysitting the class instead of teaching the class.

Let's find out:

The federal law states:

(a) Fines and imprisonment
Any person who willfully violates any of the provisions of section 215 of this title shall upon conviction thereof be subject to a fine of not more than $10,000, or to imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. No person shall be imprisoned under this subsection except for an offense committed after the conviction of such person for a prior offense under this subsection.

Section 215 refers to minimum wage and retaliation.  If teachers aren't getting paid at all, then they are making below minimum wage.  That would make Bobov 45 a criminal organization.

There are special federal laws for criminal organizations known as RICO

Lucky Bobov, there are no RICO laws covering unpaid wages.

If you are a teacher at Bobov 45 and you want to get paid, contact Mr. Pelton.

It is a mitzvah sheba aveira, and it is better the school close than to have children learn Torah under the guidance of Unorthodox Jews.

For the possibility of one Baal Tokeiya to carry a shofar in an area where there is no eiruv on shabbos, the rabbonim decreed that no Jew shall listen to the Shofar on Shabbos Rosh Hashona.

Bobov 45 is committing countless aveiros each month the teachers are not paid.

If you need permission to go to court do not call Yisroel Belsky!

  1. I am a teacher in one of the Bobov 45th mosdos. I will have you know that since I began working there, I have been paid on time every month.
