The Jewish Press reversed course and allowed Erick Salgado to speak, only after I posted an article publicizing the discriminatory intent of the Jewish Press. However, the Jewish Press warned someone from the Salgado campaign and said that if Salgado talks about gay marriage, Salgado would be asked to leave in front of the entire shul.
Sounds like the story of Kamsa and Bar Kamsa if you ask me.
When the man came to his banquet, he was surprised to see Bar Kamsa sitting there. Not wanting to see his enemy benefiting from his meal, he ordered him to leave. Bar Kamsa, not wanting to be embarrassed, offered to pay for his portion of food. The man refused to accept compensation, and ordered Bar Kamsa to leave.
Bar Kamsa, still not wanting to be embarrassed, offered to pay for half of the expenses of the large banquet. Still the man refused and ordered Bar Kamsa to leave. Finally, Bar Kamsa offered to pay for the entire banquet. In anger, the man grabbed Bar Kamsa with his own hands and physically ejected Bar Kamsa from the banquet.
For those who missed the debate last night, Salgado complied with the unjust demands of the Jewish Press.
Salgado deserves credit for standing for family values, but it would be nice if he would speak stronger against toeivah. He was interviewed on NY1 the other day (http://www.ny1.com/content/182902/ny1-online--salgado-speaks-about-mayoral-hopes), and asked about it, and I was disappointed that he didn't respond more forcefully than he did. I realize that the liberal media wants to get him, but still...

Metzitzah b'peh is a plot by the liberals to get the Jews to focus on something else instead of homosexual marriages. It won't work on this blog.
