Rules of the Political Blame Game
1. Always blame the appointed ones first. That would include judges, commissioners, community board members, etc. since the voters cannot do anything about them.
2. When an appointed person cannot be blamed, then blame the person with the strongest election results.
3. If neither of the above can be used, blame an opponent (Democrats blame Republicans and vice versa).
4. If all else fails, resign.
Try these rules on any circumstance. It really works!
Sex scandals tend to fall on rule #4, but the DA found a way to blame the judge (rule #1).
How voters should play the blame game:
1. Guilt by association
2. Blame for failure regardless of "effort". We don't care how hard you tried, we want the job done.

I would further add that the DA’s office has always insisted on jail time for all three defendants. The People strenuously objected to the pleas because the judge refused to impose prison time.

Are you saying they were sentenced at the same time they pled and there was no jail time?
What were the sentences for each of the three?

Over People’s objection, Judge Chun sentenced Joseph and Hertzka to a Conditional Discharge and agreed to sentence Jacob to Conditional Discharge and $500 fine, on June 16 [sic- actually June 6].

But were the final charges to which they pleaded the same as those with which they were originally charged? Could you please share your sentencing briefs and submissions?
