Yeshiva University

Hershel Schachter, a rabbi at Yeshiva University, explained to a group of people in London, that the reason why no action was done against the pedophile is because they did not believe the child.

I am smelling pretext here.

In a true Torah world, when a claim is made, there is an immediate doubt of danger.  To save one's life you only need an extremely small reasonable doubt to violate the Sabbath.

Hershel Schachter had a minimal obligation to at least create protocalls so that the alleged perpetrator would not be alone in a room with any one student.  They did not do even that.

Schachter is responsible for the abuse.
