There are three primary NYC-wide read papers and three primary internet read websites among the Orthodox Jews. Hamodia, Jewish Press, and Yated are the print editions, while Matzav, Vos Iz Neias, and Yeshiva World News are the internet editions. There are many local Jewish papers floating around NY, and there are Jewish blogs as well. The local papers and blogs will be for another post.
On the political side, there are at least 11 people running for mayor. Four Republicans, one Independence, and six Democrats. One of the Demcoratic candidates is a lesbian legally married to another woman. I mention her sexual orientation because of the Orthodox Jewish girls in the photo.

The punchline came when he said, "The Jewish internet news are supporting Quinn for mayor. They are censoring the comments so that nothing bad is said against Quinn."
A look at the news indicates that there are usually 20+ comments made when something controversal shows up. Yeshiva World shows three and Vos Iz Neias shows three. Vos Iz Neias is a Satmar run website (even though they cannot use internet), and Yeshvia World News is based in Boro Park.
These websites receive advertising dollars from candidates running for office, and they would gladly send the entire Jewish community into the gas chambers, as long as Hitler pays them off. For those who don't know, the Jewish leaders helped Hitler (some unintentionally) kill the Jews during WWII.
Consider this my comment on Yeshiva World News and Vos Iz Neias.
My message to Paul Mendlowitz, if you want to stop sexual abuse, stop Quinn from getting elected because she will cover up for the molestors posing as chassidim.

Why didn't you also write what I told you about Ezra Friedlander?
ReplyDeleteThe focus of this article was on the Jewish news, not the photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your noble efforts.
ReplyDeleteI don't see why you are giving Ezra Friedlander a free ride here. Who recently escorted Quinn when she went to Williamsburg last week to the shiva house after the Glauber deaths? Who came up with a 'Tu Bishvat seder' with Quinn at his house in Boro Park about six weeks ago? Who worked for David Weprin in a special election after he claimed that it was okay for an orthodox Jew to support gay marriage? Who wrote a widely publicized op-ed that moral values should not determine who orthodox Jews support? Ezra Friedlander. As the son of Chasidic Rebbe, one would think he would know better.
You should be focusing on Freidlander here.
Re censorship of comments at VIN - that is true. Also, try posting something there against Friedlander and see how far you get. He is well connected there. Time to shine a spotlight on him and his practices.
Finally a breath of fresh air - a blog telling it the way it really is and in touch with the frum community.
